[SCOM] SDK error with Visio Web Part (in Sharepoint)

Symptoms

You are using a Visio Diagram which accesses a SCOM datasource from a web part published in Sharepoint (2010/2013) and get the following message: "The sdk service is either not running or not yet initialized".

Opening the Visio with Visio on premise however works and you don`t have any errors logged in Sharepoint or in the OpsMgr Event Logs on the SCOM management server side.

Cause

Port 5724 is blocked on the SharePoint server which hosts the Visio service endpoint.

Resolution

 Unblock port 5724 on the SharePoint Server, the Visio Dashboard should now get opened and refreshed via the web part.
