Windows Server 2012 from End to Edge and Beyond – The Book!

Hello folks,

We would like to announce that our book about Windows Server 2012 Security is now available for pre-order here. When Tom Shinder and I started working on this book we were very fortunate to have Richard Hicks as Technical Reviewer and later on we invited Debra Littlejohn Shinder to co-author the book with us. To wrap up this great team work we had the honor of working with Tim Rains. Tim wrote the Foreword of this book and also wrote this post at MS Security Blog where he goes over some details about the book.

  1. We do have plans to update to R2, however we don't know when this will happen. Thanks for your feedback.

  2. The description is wrong, we already request to update. We don't have plans to release one for Windows 8.

  3. It doesn't cover the same content.

Here is the Amazon URL to the Server 2012 Security book:

    http://www.amazon.com/…/ref=sr_1_2

However the Server book description states the following: "Windows 8 Security from End to Edge and Beyond shows you".

Is there also a Windows 8 book?  (or does the Server 2012 book simply also cover Windows 8 security)?

If there is also a Windows 8 book, when will it be released?

    Thanks, Todd

When working with your book, should you install the data center or the evaluation?

  6. MAQ says:

I would like to ask you is there any plan to release a book for Windows server 2012 R2?

  7. MAQ says:

Also it can be compared this book that cover everything which is related to Windows Security and compared more advanced than SNAS Secure Windows 505.

  8. ND says:

How we compare this book with SANS Secure windows 505, does it cover the same or different. Thanks.

We have tried to no avail to add roles with the Windows Server 2012 trial edition!  It gets us as far as the installation progress page and freezes up!  Any suggestions?
