List of official Microsoft Blogs and Twitter handles (Ignite Special)

Again and again, I’ve been asked the following question: “Who does actually read blog posts in the 2000s?!?”. Here’s my answer: My colleagues within Microsoft do, I do, and – most importantly – many IT Pros and Developers all over the world do.
Of course, you can’t, and you don’t need to know every single IT information resource on the web. But: You need to know where to look up important information when needed.

Ok, but why this blog post?

Good question, my answer is quite easy: I needed to prepare for Microsoft Ignite Conference 2015 in Chicago and I was looking for relevant information sources to keep track of all product and service updates that have been announced lately in the Microsoft cosmos. I have to admit, it’s not that easy to stay informed about the massive product and services portfolio Microsoft have in stock these days.
Therefore, I’d like to share my list of official Microsoft Blogs and Twitter handles with you. Please find my list below and let me know if there’s missing anything you’d like me to add:

I hope, the above list helps you to keep track of the information djungle – whether you’re reading the blog posts in your browser, with an RSS reader like NextGen Reader for Windows/Windows Phone or through Outlook. Enjoy the above selection, I’m looking forward to your feedback.
And – of course – enjoy Microsoft Ignite Conference in Chicago and mention @seklenk if you have questions regarding this blog post! The official Microsoft Ignite Conference hashtag is #MSIgnite. The Ignite live stream starts at 8.30am CDT on May, 4th 2015 with the pre-show here. Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella, will kick-off the conference at 9.00am CDT with the keynote.
I’m excited for the conference to kick off, and I hope you are as well! I’m pleased to discuss the latest announcements with you. Let’s ignite the discussion :-)
Best,
