Disable the ability to upload PowerPoint Documents in Lync Meetings

Lync Server version 5.0.8308.738 introduced a change that allows a Lync administrator to disable the ability to upload PowerPoint documents in Lync Meetings.

This configuration change will disable the user's ability to upload PowerPoint documents from the Lync 2013 client as well as the Lync Web App.

The required configured configuration to disable this in Lync Web App is described at the following URL:

After you apply the update you need to change the user's conferencing policy using this cmdlet

Set-CsConferencingPolicy DisablePPT -AllowOfficeContent $False

After you have applied this change the affected user will no longer be able to upload a PowerPoint file in their meeting.

Note:

You need to be running a minimum client version of 15.0.4615.1000 in order for the client to properly interpret this configuration change.
