BranchCache for BITS on Windows Professional
For the longest time, I believed that BranchCache and all it's magic was only available to Enterprise version of Windows client. Turns out, I was wrong. BranchCache for BITS is supported on the following (in addition to Enterprise SKUs):
- Windows 10 Pro
- Windows 8.1 Pro
- Windows 8 Pro
- Windows® 7 Pro
It's even documented in Microsoft Docs - BranchCache.
Why is this exciting? Because it means that those of you running Professional versions of Windows clients are able to take advantage of Configuration Manager BranchCache functionality for BITS downloads!
