Years in business: I 1st did 'consultancy' 25yrs ago. In the intervening period I have done this vs 'working for the man' about 50/50.

Describe your business in 25 words or less: I offer 'consulting services' to any Windows user, from Home Users through SOHO to SMB and Enterprise. Rather than 'application support' my primary strength and focus is 'servers', particular but not exclusively Small Business Server.

What are you passionate about in business?: Not much really, business is something I do so that I can get on with life. I get passionate when someone suggests 'you can't do that with a computer'.

How long have you been an SBS MVP?   Rose, original award was 2005 (oldest cert I have) or 2004? I think I've archived email before then.

How long have you been in IT?:   Too long, I'd rather be a potato farmer.

What are you most looking forward to with the launch of SBS 2008? SBS 2008 grows on the strengths of earlier versions. I do not see it as being as 'radically different' as previous versions.

What’s the one thing Microsoft can do to really help partners get up to speed with the new version? Encourage these partners to run SBS themselves, even though they may have access to full (standard) product. A major fault of partners who do not run SBS themselves is to do things in 'standard' manner, neglecting many of the tools SBS Dev have spent a lot of time developing.

Who’s your favourite Muppets character? Kermit. It ain't easy being green.
