TechNet flash update for Kiwi Developers MVA Competition

The 19th annual TechEd New Zealand conference finished up just over a week ago. And it was HUGE. We initially received 400 speaker submissions which was whittled down to the final 117 speakers, 40 of whom were from Microsoft. Collectively they presented 140 sessions which were attended by 2,500 delegates including; 29 exhibitors and sponsors, 530 unmanaged partners and 35 CxO attendees. There was undoubtedly a lot going on. #tenz was the number one trending topic on Twitter in the country during the week and there’s been over 40 key stories featured in media publications: from ComputerWorld to the NZ Herald. Not only that, but TechEd had its own beer! That’s how ‘Epic’ it was. The proof is in the pudding, some highlights in the delegates own words:

“…Just the best presentation I’ve been to. Ever. Simply amazing.”

“The ‘non-tech’ AWE (‘How to be more Awesome’) sessions; great for IT folks who are also people managers and/or need to discuss IT issues with non-tech people.”

“I enjoyed being able to ask questions, some of which have been burning in my head for a while…”

Catch a glimpse of the action and check out the photos from the Keynote, TechLive and The Hub. Head to Channel9 where you can also view any recordings of the sessions and the Keynote. If you have any questions about TechEd this year, share them with us in an email.
