TIP: Find Lync 2013 Address Book Master Role

When troubleshooting Lync address book issues we often need a quick way to identify the Front End server that is holding the Address Book master role. With Lync 2010 this was often accomplished by using Snooper reports. With the Lync 2013 version of snooper these reports are no longer available. Through some research and help from a fellow PFE we found the cmdlet below will accomplish gathering this information.

Debug-CsAddressBookReplication – PoolFqdn <value>

The value listed under Task Owner Fqdn will be the current Address Book master for the specified pool.
