    Hi All,

Today we migrated some of our test users with a new domain, then we ran the search with full crawl. The user profiles are migrated successfully, but are not displayed in sharepoint search.

We can add those migrated users to a group, etc, with the help of people picker, but those users do not show up in sharepoint search like the other users.

    Pls help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    thanks in advance……….

  2. Sorry for the lateness for this post.  I worked with Brandon Ryan to resolve this issue using the Aug 12 CU.

The Product Group has added a command line that changes the behavior of this scenario.  When you run this command:

stsadm.exe -o setproperty -propertyname "HideInactiveProfiles" -propertyvalue "true"

It will bypass the disabled accounts and query the active domain.  The underlying issue is still unsupported (duplicate SIDs) but SharePoint now has more flexibility to deal with these situations.

Remember to test before making any changes to Production farms.

Aside from Mr. Klindt's Trans Am logo this is a good blog to describle the migrate user command in stsadm

Have you tried "stsadm -o setsiteuseraccountdirectorypath"

    It solved it for me!
