High-Tech Republican Consulting Firm CrowdVerb Mobilizes Conservative Voters

Three alums from Microsoft - Cyrus Krohn, Todd Herman and Sally Poliak (the first two veterans of running tech for the Republican National Committee) - recently launched Bellevue, WA-based CrowdVerb, a right-leaning political consulting firm specializing in data analysis and identifying and mobilizing crowds. From their new website,

Using Crowdverb’s tools, communities can be mobilized instantly and in a cost effective manner to impact issues and legislation, manage reputation and promote products. Crowdverb offers its clients a wide suite of products and services to help them achieve their business objectives. From digital campaign management to cutting edge tools that monitor, analyze and act instantly, Crowdverb’s offerings arm clients with a complete toolkit.

American Crossroads, a Republican-backing 527 organization , is among their early clients.

I had the good fortune of bumping into my now-former colleague Cyrus Krohn on the infamous K St. in Washington,DC yesterday, and we had a chance to chat briefly about his new company. Among other things, he told me for the record, "The members of Team Crowdverb are fortunate to have collaborated on corporate and political work with organizations including Microsoft, the Republican National Committee, and politics in Washington State. Our shared experiences will serve our customers well as we focus on supporting their needs. I'm honored to be a part of this team."

Given the backgrounds of the team and their experience with east coast politics and west coast tech, I think CrowdVerb is a company to watch closely during the heated 2012 election season. There'sa terrific interview with the CrowdVerb team in the NW Daily Marker here.
