Beschreibung des Webcasts:

Virtualization is one of the hottest industry trends today. While corporations are embracing virtualization for most server applications, the adoption rate for databases has been slow relative to other server products.

In this session, we will explore:

  • Why it makes sense to virtualize databases.
  • How virtualization helps meet some of the challenges in IT environments.
  • How you should think about virtualization and why we think Microsoft virtualization in general and SQL Server in particular should be the platform of choice for virtualization.

We will wrap up the session by talking about the applications that are most suitable for virtualization and best practices for SQL server virtualization.
