Mit Bing Maps (eh. Live Maps) stellt Microsoft umfangreiches Kartenmaterial, v.a. für Österreich zur Verfügung. In diesem Track erfahren Sie, welche Einsatzmöglichkeiten Bing Maps für Unternehmen bietet und welche Lösungen in Österreich am Markt bereits existieren.

Join Simon Guest in his opening keynote at ReMIX Austria, as he explores the software development lifecycle through the eyes of all three roles, and reflects on what current and future Microsoft products bring for each. - 10:15 -10:45: Coffee break
- 10:45 - 12:00: Introduction to developing with Bing Maps for Enterprise / Johannes Kebeck.
The session will start with a brief overview off the Bing Maps for Enterprise Platform and introduce the various API’s. After a quick ride over the supported data types and formats you will learn how to overlay Photosynth Collections, your own points of interest from a database, as well as your own maps and imagery. - 12:00 - 13:00: Lunch

Mapping is an integral part of websites within the real estate and tourism industries. With mapping the customer experience is improved, website visitors spend more time on site and there is an increased chance of converting a browser into a buyer.
In this session Bing Maps partners will talk about some of their real life mapping customers within the real estate and tourism sectors, the implementation of mapping within their customers’ websites and the challenges they faced along the way. - 14:15 - 14:30 Change sessions
- 14:30 - 15:45 Multimedia Integration and Location Intelligence / Johannes Kebeck
In this session you will learn about the power of the Bing Maps Silverlight Control with a particular view on Multimedia and Location Intelligence. The location intelligence part will cover integration with SQL Server 2008 in order to create thematic maps, heatmaps and spatial analysis. You will also get a quick overview about integration with traditional GIS. - 15:45 - 16:15 Coffee break
- 16:15 - 17:30 Bing Maps Partner Showcase / Progis & WiGeoGis (Speaker TBC)
Bing Maps partners will showcase some of their uses of Bing Maps in a GIS focused scenario.
Progis: The WinGIS Development Environment and Bing Maps for Enterprise to create powerful GIS applications for numerous industries. This session will draw on examples from rural area management (i.e. agriculture, forestry, environment and risk management)
WiGeoGIS: Bing Maps in web-based geomarketing applications.
