Microsoft Partner Technical Service  har gleden av å invitere deg til en workshop med 6 individuelle sesjoner om Small Business Server 2011.

Introduction
This series of Partner Readiness Workshops are a Microsoft Partner Network and Partner Technical Services initiative. This Workshop is for Nordic Partners, where you can use Scandinavian languages for Q&A and in-between sessions. The goal with this program is to educate our partners about the value of Microsoft’s solutions, increase the product knowledge, to make new solutions for increased customer satisfaction.

Do you want to know more about Windows Small Business Servers 2011?
There are 3 versions of the Solution Server called Microsoft Small Business Server 2011. SBS 2011 Essentials provides basic solutions for PCs, users, file/printer, intranet and Office 365. SBS 2011 Standard is a state-of-the-art Domain Controller with Exchange Server 2010. SBS 2011 Premium Add-on provides SQL Server and is set up for Virtualization of servers and applications. In this Workshop, we will provide overviews with marketing insight as well as going deep into technical solutions with demonstrations.

 

Part 1. Administration and Management of Small Business Server 2011

Date and time: 14-December-2011 – 09:00 to 10:00

Description: The SBS Solution Servers are configured for small businesses needs and have therefor consoles designed for easy administration and management of advanced tasks. In this session we will go through these consoles step-by-step to ensure proper handling of the users, clients, infrastructure as well as the servers themselves.

 

Part 2. Migration to Small Business Server 2011

Date and time: 14-December-2011 – 10:00 to 11:00

Description: Most customers have an IT infrastructure in advance. Therefor some migration might be needed for the Domain Controller, Exchange, SharePoint and more. In this session we will go into the installation of the SBS 2011 as well as possible migration processes.

 

Part 3. Manage the Server 2008 R2 for Small Business Server 2011

Date and time: 14-December-2011 – 11:00 to 12:00

Description: Windows Server 2008 R2 is the core of all the SBS 2011 versions. They are configured for solutions with Roles, Features and GPOs. The IT managers sometimes need to go beyond the SBS Consoles to manage the infrastructure. In this session we will go deeper into the Windows 2008 R2 Standard Server’s tools, roles and features to demonstrate how-to do that.

 

Part 4. Securing, Monitoring and Troubleshooting Small Business Server 2011

Date and time: 14-December-2011 – 13:00 to 14:00

Description: Security and High Availability are key objectives for the Small Business Servers. In this session we will go deeper into the use of monitoring and troubleshooting issues with backup, network, protections and availability.

 

Part 5. Manage Exchange Server 2010 for Small Business Server 2011

Date and time: 14-December-2011 – 14:00 to 15:00

Description: Exchange Server 2010 is installed and pre-configured for SBS 2011 Standard. SBS 2011 Essentials is prepared for an Add-in to the Office 365 Cloud services, including Exchange On-Line. In this session we will take a deep dive into the options and challenges involving Exchange for SBS 2011.

 

Part 6. Virtualization in Small Business Server 2011 Premium Add-On

Date and time: 14-December-2011 – 15:00 to 16:00

Description: SBS 2011 Premium Add-on is configured for virtualization of servers, clients and applications. It provides roles to make highly dynamic infrastructures for virtual migration, consolidation and even testing. In this session we will demonstrate how-to use Hyper-V, Remote Desktop Services and SQL for this.
