Hi All
Continue on with some previous posts around playing with Lync Client API
Here is a simple on setting your location based on the Geo IP you are at..
First we have created a function we can call easily, we query a GEO IP website and accept the XML request
If we can resolve to the City we will take the city for our location if not we will go to the Country location.
Next we publish the location with the following code
and hey presto
You can manually run this or look up event 10000 in the Microsoft Windows / NetworkProfile –> Operational Log and you can trigger everytime it gets a new network connection
