Just Sailing Along

I'm so tired I can barely see straight.

I've spent a good portion of the weekend building a sailplane mission and I've probably flown our new sailplane for a total of several hours today. I should check the logbook and see exactly how many hours I've flown. :) I've been flying all of the other aircraft more up until now, and this is kind of refreshing.

Not only that, but I beat the course record! But that's not saying much considering I designed and built the course and set the time threshold for the record.

Flying a sailplane is so different than other aircraft as it's generally a very peaceful and gentle (at least between thermals that is and then gut wrenching G's inside the thermals with that infernal variometer beeping at you, neither of which isn't very peaceful). Anyway, it takes a while to get anywhere in a sailplane, thus the long hours flying it today.

I'm not complaining though as our sailplane is very cool. Considering we've already released some info and some screenshots, I think I can mention a little more about the aircraft. If you aren't familiar with the DG series of aircraft you should check them out at their website. The DG-808S is an amazing aircraft and in the top echelon of high performance competition sailplanes. I think you will like it!
