Microsoft TechDays 2014, the largest annual tech event in France dedicated to developers, IT professionals and business leaders, recently brought together 19,000 attendees with 60,000 online participants for three packed days of sessions.

Microsoft Tech DaysThis year open source technologies were at the heart of the event, with several sessions dedicated to how Microsoft and open source solutions are working well together. Presentations ranges from an overview of Microsoft’s support for open source software on Windows Azure in the cloud to working sessions focused on Node.js.

Brainsonic’s presentation was also a highlight, showcasing SensioLab’s Symfony2, a great PHP framework for developing websites or applications written in PHP. SensioLabs CEO, Fabien Potencier, was on hand to see the team demonstrate how a combination of Symfony2 and Windows Azure could create impressive web experiences.

To catch up on what you missed, please see event site for replays (note: in French), as well as all the open source sessions are posted on my blog here. Thanks to all the partners and IT professionals who participated to make TechDays 2014 a big success!
