A critical aspect of Microsoft product development is an ecosystem dedicated to shipping interoperable systems. We work closely with other vendors and open source communities by providing extensive documentation and hosting interoperability and plugfest-type events to provide opportunities for testing and feedback.

I’m pleased to announce the next interoperability seminar will be hosted in Shanghai, China next month on December 10th to 12th.

This free, three-day event will cover a broad range of Microsoft interoperability topics from Windows Server, Office, and SQL, including Windows File Sharing, Office Binary File Formats, and more.

The agenda will the interactive, with opportunities to discuss product interoperability topics directly with the Microsoft subject matter experts, leverage “internal” tools to test protocol implementations, and provide feedback on Microsoft Open Specifications.

Most sessions will be translated between English, Mandarin, or Cantonese.

All implementers are welcome to attend. However, space is limited, so please contact plugfests@microsoft.com soon to register. You can find more event details here.

Hope to see you there!
