Introducing the new Configuration Manager Integration Pack Activities

*Note that the information in this article is based on the Beta of this Integration Pack and is subject to change.  This information will be refreshed when the Integration Pack is RTM.

The table below explains the Activities that are available with the new Opalis 6.3 Integration Pack for Configuration Manager.

Activity Description
Advertise Task Sequence The Advertise Task Sequence object is used to configure a policy that assigns an existing Task Sequence to a Collection, so that you can deploy an Operating System and Software Applications to one or more target servers.
Add Computer to Collection The Add Computer to Collection object is used to configure a policy that adds computers to an existing Collection.
Create Advertisement The Create Advertisement object is used to configure a policy that assigns Advertisements to a Collection, so that you can deploy software to one or more target computers based on a schedule that you specify. By default, advertisements are made available to sub-collections.
Create Collection The Create Collection object is used to configure a policy to target servers to perform Configuration Management activities.
Delete Collection The Delete Collection object is used to remove an existing collection.
Deploy Software Update The Deploy Software Update object is used to configure a policy that initiates Software Updates using a Deployment Template so that you can push updates out to target computers.
Get Advertisement Status The Get Advertisement Status object is used to retrieve the status of an Advertisement to determine if a Software Deployment action has completed and view the results.
Get Collection Member The Get Collection Member object is used to configure a policy that queries an existing Collection for its member servers, so that you can target computers individually for Configuration Management activities or status lookups.
Get Software Update Compliance The Get Software Update Compliance object is used to configure a policy that retrieves the status of a Software Update advertisement, so that you can determine if a Software Update action has completed and view the results.
Refresh Client

The Refresh Client object is used to configure a policy that initiates the SCCM Agent Machine Policy Retrieval and Evaluation Cycle so that CM actions will affect a target computer as soon as possible. This object forces the SCCM Agent to pick up advertisements and enables Opalis Workflows to orchestrate them as quickly as possible. This object requires targeting the managed computer by using WMI. Refresh Client is targeted directly at the client and does not need a connection to a Configuration Manager server.
