Microsoft Exchange 2010 upgrade Test cases – Part 5

I am writing a series of blog where I will guide you on test cases that should carry out when upgrading from either Exchange 2003 or Exchange Server 2007 to Exchange 2010. This blog is fifth of this series.

Each blog will contain two or three test cases that will guide you on various testing conditions that should help you streamline your Exchange upgrade.

Create a New Address List

User Scenario

Create an address list with filter rules defined

Method

Expected Results

Ensure all object meeting the requirement of the filter, show up in the Address List

Filter List Modification

User Scenario

Create a new user which falls into an existing filter

Modify attributes so the user is included in different List.

Method

Expected Results

New user shows up in existing filter

Default Address List

User Scenario

Verify that the default Offline Address List contains the default Global Address List

Method

Expected Results

Ensure all object meeting the requirement of the filter, show up in the default Global Address List
