January 2014 Office Update Release

The January 2014 Public Update release for Office is now live.  There are 12 security updates (1 bulletin) and 1 non-security update.

* Manual installation attempts for security updates 2863901 or 2863902 may result in the following message: "The update is already installed on this system." Customers who encounter this message should determine whether non-security updates 2837590 or 2837593 were applied. The 2837590 and 2837593 non-security updates already contain the updated files installed by this security update for Microsoft Word 2010.

If non-security updates 2837590 or 2837593 were applied, then security updates 2863901 or 2863902 are not needed. No additional action is necessary.

For customers who require the installation of security updates 2863901 or 2863902 for security compliance reasons, we recommend removing the 2837590 and 2837593 non-security updates and then applying security updates 2863901 or 2863902.
