Windows Server 2008 Released to Manufacturing

February 4, 2008 (Computerworld) Almost five years in the making , Microsoft Corp. 's newest server operating system has hit its next milestone: Development is complete, and it's been released to manufacturing.

More than two million copies of the server operating system have been downloaded by customers and others so far, Microsoft said in a statement .
