VostokGazprom is a subsidiary of Gazprom, Russia’s largest company based on revenues and one of the world’s largest producers of natural gas. VostokGazprom operates in the vast landscape of the Tomsk Oblast (Tomsk region) in Western Siberia. The company has three gas production fields that are located about 500 kilometers from the city of Tomsk in the Vasyugan Swamp, which, at 53,000 square kilometers, is one of the world’s largest swamps.
