"There was a problem signing you in. Please try again in a few minutes."

You receive the message "There was a problem signing you in.  Please try again in a few minutes," every time that you try to sign in to the OneDrive for Business Next Generation Sync Client (OneDrive). The problem is specific to a computer, not to your account.

This can happen if Credential Manager was disabled via the registry, as shown below:

To resolve this, enable Credential Manager.

  1. Click Start, and then click Search.
  2. Type regedit, and then click the returned command.
  3. In the Registry Editory, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa
  4. Double-click DisableCredMan to open an Edit window.
  5. Change the value data to 0, and then click OK.

  1. Tero says:

This doesn’t make any sense. DisableCredMan=1 means Credential Manager is disabled. If you want to enable Credential Manager set DisableCredMan=0 or remove the DisableCredMan DWORD

  2. Tero — you are correct, but that the article does say to set DisableCredMan to 0. The picture is of the problem, not the solution.

I will edit the text to make this clearer.
