We’re on somewhat of a role with our TED Talks here in the education team, and this one's arguably the most captivating so far. This week’s inspiration comes from Rita Pierson, a teacher for over 40 years, who has seen all sides of education.

Pierson talks in detail about the importance of relationships in keeping kids in school and passionate about learning. “Every child deserves a champion,” says Pierson, “an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection, and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be.” Pierson delivers her talk with such enthusiasm and passion, it’s hard not to come away inspired. “Is this job tough? You betcha,” says Pierson. “But it is not impossible. We can do this. We are educators. We are born to make a difference.”

We would love to hear your thoughts on Pierson’s ideas.
