New Zealand free Hands-on-Labs: Microsoft Forefront and System Centre

In conjunction with Auldhouse New Zealand, Microsoft is offering the following FREE* one day Hands-On-Labs featuring Microsoft Forefront and Microsoft Systems Centre management tools.  There are a handful of places available in the following Hands-On-Labs in Wellington and Auckland:

Microsoft Forefront Security for Exchange Server, Microsoft Forefront Security for SharePoint and Microsoft Forefront Client Security

Learn about the new Forefront Security solutions that provide comprehensive protection against the latest threats, integrate more tightly with existing infrastructure and simplify the task of deploying and managing IT security. Gain hands-on insight into the key features of security products such Microsoft Forefront Security for Exchange Server, Microsoft Forefront Security for SharePoint and Microsoft Forefront Client Security. The course will provide an overview of the three key products as well as a practical guide for managing and configuring these technologies

Introducing Microsoft System Centre

System Centre is Microsoft’s family of IT management solutions that helps IT managers proactively plan, deploy, manage, and optimise their physical and virtual IT environment. It plays a central role in Microsoft’s vision to help IT organisations benefit from self-managing, dynamic systems. System Centre solutions capture and aggregate knowledge about an infrastructure, policies, processes, and best practices so that IT staff can optimize the IT structure to reduce costs, improve application availability, and enhance service delivery.

The course will provide an overview of System Centre Essentials 2007 as well as a practical guide for managing and configuring this technology. Microsoft System Center Essentials 2007 provides a unified management solution to help IT professionals in midsize organizations to proactively and efficiently secure, update, monitor and troubleshoot their IT environment.

Microsoft System Centre – Operations & Configuration Manager

This course will provide an overview of the two key products, System Centre Operations Manager 2007 and System Centre Configuration Manager 2007 as well as a practical guide for managing and configuring these technologies:

· Microsoft System Centre Operations Manager 2007 (formerly known as MOM) provides best-of-breed, end-to-end service management for the Windows operating system, helping IT organisations increase efficiency and gain greater control over the IT environment.

· Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager 2007 (formerly known as SMS enables more secure and scalable operating systems and application deployment, desired configuration management, system quarantine, and comprehensive asset management of servers, desktops, and mobile devices.
