Inaugural Meeting: Wellington Office User Group

There is a new User Group getting started this week in Wellington, to provide information and support to users of Microsoft Office.  The group organiser is Steve Schapel, a Microsoft MVP on Access.

The group aims to cater to the interests of Information Workers, Power Users, and Office Developers.

An inaugural meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 15 March 2006 (6:00-7:30pm). The meeting will be held at Microsoft New Zealand, Level 12, 157 Lambton Quay, Wellington.

In this first meeting:  Ryan Duguid, Microsoft Technical Specialist, will give a presentation on "The New Office User Experience".  He will cover the history of the Office user interface, why Microsoft are introducing a new user interface in the upcoming release of the Office System, and then a bit of "show and tell" through a demo of various applications in the new Office System, including some of the really cool new features.  It promises to be a very interesting session.
