    Two questions:

For those customers who have blindly installed are you going to update this post with instructions (Like the Exchange team http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2016/02/10/on-net-framework-4-6-1-and-exchange-compatibility.aspx) or shall we just use the same instructions but for step two stop all Lync/SfB services?

Will logic get added to detection routines so that this does not get offered if the WU agent sees Lync/SfB server binaries installed?

Thanks for the article. Not sure if you can answer this, but Is there a time frame when 4.6.1 would be supported with Lync 2013?

    1. Kris-MSFT says:

Hi Lyle, we are actively working on this, but unfortunately do not have a timeframe as of yet. The team will work on updating this post when we have a plan in place.

Hi Lyle, we are working to provide guidance in this area. We will update the post as soon as we have more information.

        Hi Kris

Has there been any progress on a timeframe for when this is going to be supported? I couldn’t find a supportability matrix for .Net versions on Skype For Business server, am I correct to assume 4.6 is fine to install?

        Thanks in advance

    Any Updates on this?

Is this recommendation still valid? With every update of .Net Framework this is a topic. Install it or install it not???

    1. Kris-MSFT says:

Hi Chaoshacker, we should have an update on this topic soon.

That sounds promising. Same question here. Our patching guys are asking me untiringly for 4.6.1 🙂

Kris – There was an update from the exchange team in October 2016 saying it was ok to upgrade to 4.6.1 if you have the relevant updates. Here’s the link to the exchange blog…

I’m assuming this same guidance applies to lync/skype?
        thank you

Below link says SfB 2015 with latest CU is supported with .net 4.6.2. Is there any other source to confirm this information:
