Many of us have attended Lync Online meetings or watched webinars recorded by Lync. But have you used Lync to create and publish training, induction, or demo videos?

Companies can now use Office 365 to create their own instruction websites and training videos. It's easier and quicker to watch a video than to read and depend on screenshots.

Lync and SharePoint Online make it easier to create training videos and embed them in How To and induction articles for your organization. Some of the new features that improve video recording and publishing are:

  • Render recordings as MP4 with Lync.
  • Drag and drop recordings into SharePoint libraries.
  • Embed recordings for play back using HTML 5.

Learn how easy it is to create your own Lync videos, save assets to a library, upload video recordings, and more. Read the complete article on the Office 365 Technical Blog.

  1. Good to see content coming over from Lync is a key service in the Office 365 plans that is new to many customers who subscribe. They immediately start seeing the benefits as colleagues begin to connect from other offices and locations. The ability to create videos and publish them in SharePoint Online/On-Premises is just one of the many "thinking-outside-the-box" ways of using Lync.
