New Technical Communities for Microsoft US Partners

Scott Emigh, Chief Technology Officer, US One Commercial Partner

As the Chief Technology Officer of the US One Commercial Partner Organization focusing on enabling partners to build cloud solutions, I’m excited to launch the new solution area technical communities where Microsoft partners can engage with the Microsoft US technical teams.

During Microsoft Inspire 2017, you may have heard Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella, talk about enabling digital transformation. Specifically, he highlighted a partner centered $4.5 trillion transformation opportunity, through four solution areas:

  • Modern workplace
  • Business applications
  • Applications & infrastructure
  • Data & Artificial Intelligence (AI)

With this new focus, we are mapping the existing technical communities to these solution areas as shown below:

Modern Workplace: Office 365 & Voice, Windows & Devices, Enterprise Mobility & Security

Business Applications: Dynamics 365

Applications & Infrastructure: Azure infrastructure & Management, Application Development

Data & Artificial Intelligence: Data Platform and Advanced Analytics

In addition to these four solution area communities, Open Source Solution (OSS) community will continue to serve our OSS partners.

The new technical communities will enable partners to better address the changing digital transformation needs of customers through a solution-driven approach, and help partners build new practices and expand existing ones. Additionally, the new technical community structure will support a simplified experience for partners to connect with Microsoft, access resources, and learn about news and updates.

Here are details for how you can engage with these communities:
