Feeding America is a nationwide network of food banks, food pantries, and meal programs with a mission to end hunger in America. A solution from Microsoft partner, alligatortek, that utilizes Microsoft Azure and Office 365 allows Feeding America to improve its efficiency in matching food donors – especially those with perishable food – with food banks that can distribute that food to those in need.
“Over the past year, this piece of technology has allowed us to source over 150 million meals for our food banks,” says Bill Thomas, Chief Supply Chain Officer at Feeding America. “It really gives them access to fresh produce at an increasing rate.”
