In his Vision Keynote at the 2016 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference, Steve Guggenheimer noted, “in the next wave, in that transformation disruption wave, the importance and criticality of ISVs to all of our success is front and center.” Our interest in working with our ISV partners came through loud and clear at WPC 2016 – our new Executive VP for the Worldwide Commercial Business, Judson Althoff, called out “Drive ISV and SI momentum” as one of his six priorities for Microsoft and partners in the year ahead. We are continuing to make significant investments in resources and tools for partners that want to develop, market, and sell their apps with Microsoft.
There were nearly 2,800 individuals at WPC 2016 who identified their companies as “ISVs.” I had the opportunity to meet and talk to many of you in the US Regional Lounge and ISV Lounge, and appreciate the time you spent talking to me about your respective businesses, and how Microsoft can help you be profitable and successful with your apps.
