In today’s Daily Double, we’re getting practical, with tips about how to build your transition plan. Remember that you will need to meet the new competency (and Small Business Specialist Community) requirements before your next re-enrollment date if you intend to continue to hold one or more competencies. Many of our current Certified Partners and Gold Certified Partners have re-enrollment dates between now and March 2011—if your company is one of them, having a plan to guide your activities over the next several weeks will be useful.
The links and tools below will still work on Friday, October 29, while the Partner Membership Center, Partner Learning Center, Digital Download Portal, Partner Dashboard, and the Partner Logo Builder site will be unavailable from 9am Pacific Time on Friday through around 9pm Pacific Time on Saturday. This downtime does not impact the partner portal itself.
Tip #4: The Do-It-Yourself Transition Plan.
Sign in to the Partner Transition Tool and you will see your organization’s progress toward achieving the new silver or gold competencies based on where your company is today. When you choose to review the details for a competency within your summary page, you will be able to toggle between the silver and gold competency requirements, and get a quick visual of where you are for each of the requirements.
Tip #3: Or, Ask Our Experts to Help You Build Your Plan.
Yes, you can actually contact the U.S. Microsoft Partner Network Experts and have them help you build a custom plan. You can reach them by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org, or by phone at 1-877-254-6825. This information is published on the Prepare for the Microsoft Partner Network page and on our Transition Checklist, too, so even if you decide to go down the do-it-yourself path first, you can always reach out to the Experts when you need to.
Tomorrow, it’s the final Daily Double!
