Lync 2013 New Features - IGNITE Roadshow [VIDEO]

Summary: Tamer Maher El-Sharkawy, one of our esteemed Senior Microsoft Premier Field Engineers, catches up with Lync engineer extraordinaire Doug Deitterick (Microsoft Certified Master in both OCS and Lync) during the Lync 2013 Ignite Roadshow to discuss some of the cool new and improved capabilities in Microsoft’s enterprise unified communications platform.

As a PFE (Premier Field Engineer) I am very fortunate to work with some of the world’s best engineers and colleagues.  Starting January 2013 I embarked on the road to deliver the SharePoint 2013 Ignite training in various cities across the U.S., and while in Washington D.C. I met with my colleague and one of the best Lync engineers out there, Doug Deitterick, as he was delivering the Lync 2013 IGNITE Roadshow.  I harnessed the opportunity and recorded this MSPFE Video Blog with him talking about the fantastic new features of Lync 2013, such as multi-viewing, an updated full-featured Lync web client. tabbed chat, support for multiple trunks to a single gateway for enterprise voice, and much more.

Here is what Doug had to share with me!
