Standard Response to RFI–Security and Privacy Published

If there is one subject that comes up at regular intervals when engaging end customers for Cloud projects, it’s Security and Privacy. In many cases it’s out of “fear of the unknown”, when people ask themselves how this “new” environment stacks up to their known and trusted on-premises infrastructure.

In order to support customers in the evaluation of cloud services, the Cloud Security Alliance (https://cloudsecurityalliance.org/) has published their “Cloud Controls Matrix” at https://cloudsecurityalliance.org/research/ccm/ – basically a framework to address Security and Privacy in the Cloud.

Microsoft’s Standard Response document to this framework is now available for download at www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=26647, both for Office 365 as well as for Windows Azure. A perfect tool for engaging customers!
