Microsoft was recognized for its SDN Monitoring DEMon Solution and swept all six leader awards for Market, Price, Performance, Reliability, Service & Support and Innovation this week at the Ethernet Summit in Santa Clara, California.

The award was presented by IT Brand Pulse and revealed the results of their annual brand leader surveys conducted in March 2014. The surveys covered Ethernet, SDN, and one other product category. More than one thousand IT Pros were asked which vendors they perceived as the leader in fourteen IT infrastructure product categories.

I was honored to accept the award on Microsoft's behalf after providing a keynote address earlier in the day titled Ethernet: Building a Castle on a Cloud.

The award was based on a survey of IT professionals from large enterprise, medium enterprise and HPC environments. IT Brand Pulse is an industry organization that provides research, data and analysis about IT infrastructure.

It is fantastic that Microsoft and its engineers are being recognized for the hard work they are doing for the greater good of the networking industry. We demand unparalleled performance from our products and continuously strive to transform the world of software, cloud infrastructures and   services by addressing the evolving technological challenges facing Software-Defined Networks (SDNs).

We hope that by sharing our best practices, we will help to increase the performance and efficiency within the entire industry. In doing so, we can all achieve a higher level of satisfaction among our customers and partners.
