Question: What representation does Operations have within the MS management structure?

MSCOM Operations is part of the Windows Division within Microsoft. It is a team of roughly 75 Full Time Employees (FTE) and 20 Contingent Staff/Vendors. Roles in the operations team include Business Mgmt (5), System Engineering (Web & DB Ops - 40), Application Hosting & Customer Mgmt (6), Infrastructure Architecture (4), Support Servicers (24x7 Tier 1 & 2 Ops - 7 FTE & 20 CS/V), Debug & Research/Analysis (5), and Tools Development (7). This operations organization is responsible for working with several business units within Microsoft to partner with Product Development teams (Program Mgmt, Test & Development) and assist with the Design / Implementation / Sustained Engineering of internet hosted solutions such as: Microsoft.com, Windows Update, Downloads, Support, MSDN/Technet, Communities, and many more totaling over 100 *microsoft.com systems.
