Post-SP1 hotfixes recommended for W2K8R2 Hyper-V hosts

Here is a quick round-up of post-SP1 hotfixes that it is good to know about, if you are running Hyper-V – I have summarized the file(s) updated and their version details for quick reference so you can see if they are applicable for you.

  1. Hi, it was meant to be, and if you check…/2496089 it does only show in the details that it's pre-SP1 (build 6.1.7600.xxxx).

    However if you continue through the "View and request hotfix downloads" link you can see there are 2 packages: sp1 and sp2 (so these apply to the RTM and SP1 branches respectively).

    isn't KB2496089 already included in SP1? as far as I can confirm, this patch is included in the SP1 please see my reference reference -> Hotfixes and Security Updates included in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1.xls ->…/details.aspx
