Have questions about MDT 2010?

We have created a new forum on TechNet specifically for MDT-related questions – no question is too simple or too advanced.  You can access the forum via http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/mdt/threads.  It’s been around for a couple of months, but we haven’t publicized it too heavily so we could slowly ramp up.

As always, I seem to be keeping too busy to spent a lot of time responding to questions on the forum, but fortunately there are several other experts (including Tim Mintner, Keith Garner, and Johan Arwidmark) who have been helping out with that.

    Hi Michael,

I need to capture an image of new Dell Laptop with my mdt2010 with a task "Sysprep and capture" but i need to capture 3 partition in one task sequence is it possible?

The first partition is Dell Utility-Diagnostic second is the RECOVERY partition for Windows 7 and third is the Windows 7 OS partition…

I’m able to capture the OS partition 3 but Diagnostic partition is a fat oem partition of 196 Meg the RECOVERY partition is NTFS 998 Meg and both partition are hiden? I’m able to extract the content on these partition in a zip file but is it possible to add a task that extract a file on a hiden partition?

    Hi Michael,

I am new to MDT 2010 and wondering if there is a way to synchronize settings between two different WDS/MDT servers?

    Thanks in advanced.

    Hi Michael,

Trying to deploy Groupwise 8.0.1 with msi command throught MDT 2010. Getting 1603 error.  Can install using the exact same command manually.  All source files and .mst are in one directory, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance
