Connecting the Portal to the Backend with BizTalk Server 2004

This session will explore the different connection options available using BizTalk Server 2004 which can be exploited from SharePoint Portal Server to provide connectivity to existing business systems.

BizTalk Server 2004 provides a highly extensible middleware environment for connecting heterogeneous business systems using open protocols and communications/data standards.

We’ll discuss how BizTalk Server can be used to provide the connection between new applications, and existing systems using Web Services, XML, and Adapters to Legacy Systems.

 

The session will cover the following areas:

  • Using the BizTalk connector for SharePoint
  • Exposing Integration Projects as Web Services
  • Consuming BizTalk Server Web Services using InfoPath and SharePoint
  • Using Host Integration Server with BizTalk Server 2004
