North Star State Points to Productivity

Otherwise known as the “North Star State,” Minnesota has given people a sense of direction over the course of time.

Living up to its name, the State of Minnesota has become the first state to adopt a large collaboration and communication suite by implementing Microsoft’s cloud-based Office 365. The deployment encompasses all executive branch agencies, which is composed of more than 70 agencies, and other Office of Enterprise Technology customers who can choose to participate in the use of Office 365.

This technology upgrade will expand the state’s IT capabilities, increase security and significantly reduce costs by taking advantage of the combined demand of all state agencies. Office 365 will also provide a reliable platform of robust security features, reducing administration costs and most importantly, delivering high-quality results back to Minnesotans.

Minnesota is joined by thousands of government agencies that have made a decision to move to Office 365 — New York, the states of California and Nebraska, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and more than 1,000 other local government customers, including Colorado Springs Utilities.
