Der „Windows Client: Neue Funktionen und Upgrade“-Workshop vermittelt den Kursteilnehmern eine umfassende Einführung in eine Vielzahl von den neuen und verbesserten Funktionen in Windows 8.1. Jedes Modul umfasst die wesentliche Änderung früherer Microsoft Windows-Betriebssysteme und bietet ein umfassendes Verständnis der Auswirkung in Bezug auf Benutzerfreundlichkeit, Produktivität, Bereitstellung und Unterstützung.

Durch Präsentationen, White-Board Diskussionen und zielbasierten Labs, erstreckt sich dieser drei-Tages-Workshop:

  • die neuen Feature von Windows 8.1
  • wie wird Windows To Go konfiguriert und verwendet
  • Desktop und OS Änderungen von Windows 7, Windows 8.1
  • Windows 8.1  BitLocker und Sicherheit
  • Deploying Windows 8.1 mit Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)

Agenda

Module 1: User Interface
This module explains the reasons behind the move from a Start menu to a Start screen, and describes in detail all the new functionalities meant to improve productivity.

Module 2: Windows Store Apps and the Windows Store
In this module, you will learn about the new type of applications introduced in Windows 8.1, and when they should be used.

Module 3: Desktop and Operating System Changes
This module presents the improvements made to the desktop side of Windows 8.1 such as the new Explorer and Search options, Task Manager, and File History.

Module 4: Activation
In this module, you will review the activation technologies that are available for Windows, and learn about new activation options for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1.

Module 5: Bring Your Own Device
This module describes what can be done to provide secure access to corporate resources from hardware that is not controlled by the IT department.

Module 6: Hardware
This module focuses on the new hardware supported in Windows 8.1, and the security and performance features it provides.

Module 7: Security
This module covers the security features that are in place to secure Windows 8.1.

Module 8: BitLocker
This module provides an in depth view of BitLocker and its improvements.

Module 09: Windows to Go
In this module, you will learn about the new possibility to run a full copy of Windows 8.1 Enterprise from a USB device with the same security and productivity you would get in a laptop.

Module 10: Troubleshooting
In this module, you will learn new troubleshooting techniques that will help you solve issues faster.

Der Inhalt ist besonders relevant für den Desktop-Support und das Image Team, die Windows 8.(1) bereitstellen und ein tiefes Verständnis für die Vorteile, von Windows 8.(1) gegenüber Windows 7 benötigen.
