This session provides an overview of what “the Cloud” is and how Microsoft can help education institutes move there. You have heard of a shift in IT moving from on-premise computing to “the Cloud.” Windows Azure is an open and flexible cloud platform that enables you to quickly build, deploy and manage applications across a global network of Microsoft-managed datacenters. Windows Azure helps education institutions maximize cloud based computing and they have the right contracts to meet the needs of today’s schools. Schools can add to their Microsoft Campus Agreement (EES) or use other vehicles like an Internet2 Agreement or K-20 Network Agreement. This session will go into details for all your cloud needs.
