Make a Positive Difference the Fun Way at We Tech Care

Every year, thousands of Singaporeans tune in to local TV channels for the live broadcast of the President’s Star Charity show, which saw popular regional artistes gather to rally support for charitable causes.

This is just one of the many events conducted under the President’s Challenge, an annual fundraising campaign that has raised over S$100 million for more than 500 beneficiaries since its establishment in 2000 by President S.R. Nathan, the sixth President of the Republic of Singapore.

From the very beginning, Microsoft has played a key role in supporting this campaign. And 2016 marks yet another milestone for us as we enter our 10th year for organising a major fundraising event for the President’s Challenge.

We Tech Care returns again this year—bigger and better—with a goal to bring our employees, nonprofits, and business partners together, raising funds to empower people and bridge the opportunity divide through what we are most familiar with: technology.

Apart from Startups Discovery Tours where visitors are able to meet and interact with local startups and have a go at their innovative applications, we have also organised a line-up of exciting activities for the half-day event. This includes NGO showcases, digital literacy workshops, game-coding sessions, and even Xbox gaming competitions.

So come down to JTC LaunchPad@one-north on 12 March for an exciting afternoon with us. Don’t worry, we’ll make sure there is something fun for everyone—even the enthusiastic six year old!
