Three stories out of Microsoft today:
First, when it comes to helping employees be productive, few investments have more potential this year than a new PC with Windows 8 Pro. In addition to the beautiful, fast and fluid user interface, Windows 8 brings together the sites, people, apps and information that you care about most right from your personalized Start screen. It makes it easy to multitask and switch between screens, and it provides an incredible choice of new hardware to make for a compelling and highly personalized computing experience. Plus, hardware released for the new operating system is screaming fast. Head on over to the Microsoft News Center and check out this slideshow of new Windows 8 devices. Second, whether you’re preparing to host a big family dinner or trying to find the closest tree farm, Bing can help you spend less time worrying about the logistics and more time enjoying fun holiday activities with your friends and family. That’s why we’ve pulled together a list of some of our favorite features and search tips to help you check those last-minute holiday “to-dos” off your list. Head on over to the Bing Search Blog to see the list.
And last but not least, Minecraft fans: On Dec. 22, we’ll be world premiering the new documentary Minecraft: The Story of Mojang. The movie follows Minecraft creator Markus Persson after his rise to fame in 2011 and examines the ins and outs of building a video company. This world premiere will air for free for Xbox LIVE Gold subscribers in the U.S., U.K., Ireland, Belgium, Portugal, Austria, France, Finland and Sweden.
