Today Microsoft opened the first Microsoft Store outside the continental United States, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Located in the Plaza Las Americas Mall in San Juan, the store is 4,000 square feet and will focus on selling Microsoft products and provide support services for consumers and small businesses.

Another attraction of the Microsoft Store is its team of associates, responsible for giving customers a shopping experience that puts the customer first.

The opening drew a large crowd, with an estimated 1,200 people in attendance, and several people also camped out the night before in anticipation of the opening today. The crowd got a look at the latest Windows 8 devices, Surface, Windows Phones and Xbox 360. The store was opened in a brief ceremony by Hernán Rincón, President of Microsoft Latin America.
