Microsoft SMB UK lends support to Build Africa

Microsoft SMB UK is proud to support the Build a School programme by Build Africa. In the first 6 months of the year, Microsoft has been able to help the charity carry out improvements to the infrastructure, water and public health in the Machakos district of Kenya:

INFRASTRUCTURE: 2 classrooms and 4 latrines for girls have been completed, helping to improve the levels of sanitation in the school. 50 desks and teachers’ furniture has also been delivered giving the children and teachers comfort for lessons.

WATER: 3 water tanks have been procured, whilst 2 have already been installed allowing clean and safe drinking water for the schools.

HEALTH: Health clubs have been facilitated in the school, whilst 2 teachers have been trained relevantly this year so far and 3 further teachers have been trained on disability and child protection.
