Case study: Virgin Media transforms service delivery & reduces critical alerts by 97%

Virgin Media was the first company in the UK to offer broadband, TV, home phone and mobile services from a single provider. In 2010, it invested in infrastructure monitoring technology, but its Windows Server IT support team – Wintel – needed to improve its processes to get maximum value from Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007. A test period with Microsoft Operations Framework demonstrated many process benefits, included a reducing system alerts by a factor of 30, resulting in higher staff productivity and a much-improved internal service.
