It's something we keep bleating on about, but there are many good reasons why. You see, the true value of Unified Communications is in making it easier for individuals and teams to collaborate effectively and productively.
You may not ever have thought to yourself: “I need more UC”, but the words may have been uttered within your business of “we need to improve our customer service” or “we need to reduce costs”. UC happens to be an effective answer, with collaboration as an integral goal.
I read recently that Gartner has predicted that 40% of businesses will adopt “a blend of Cloud and on-premise based approaches to meet their Unified Communications (UC) needs” by 2012. That compares to an estimate of between 3% and 5% in 2009.
If you feel like you want to learn, hear or ask more about the topic, you can register free for the Communications (UC) Expo running from Wednesday 10th to 11th March at London’s Olympia where there will be heaps of experts willing to talk to you about the subject all day long. We'll be there (stand 708) and so will some of our Partners in the Microsoft Partner Pavilion. We’ll also be speaking both days sharing insight on our product roadmap as well as sharing examples of the benefits customers have seen from deploying the Unified Communications platform.
