I’ve been catching up on J.D. Meir’s blog lately and in particular his Sources of Insight blog – it houses some inspirational stuff for personal and career development. His recent post regarding What’s Your One-Liner Super Hero Power? is worth a read to help with your personal brand toolkit. When asked what is it you’re great at, what would you say?
Of course most normal people who go “oh I dunno…erm” but you never know when you’re going to be asked that question by someone who really matters. Like the next interview you have for a job, or the next time your boss’s boss asks you in the lift (they may phrase it a bit differently) but my advice like J.D. is to spend some time thinking about this and have it ready to go at a moments notice and don’t be ashamed of it. You’re great at something, probably several things so it’s worth reminding yourself what they are.
So what do I think my super hero power is? I think it’s “making technology simple and accessible”
Have a read of J.D.’s blog post to get some more inspiration on this topic.
Additional note: it’s always good to say something that is going to provoke a question and intrigue people.
