System Center Operations Manager RC1 Now Available

The newest release of MOM is now at Release Candidate 1 stage. This release marks an important milestone for this development cycle in preparation for product launch early next year.

Significant testing and quality assurance has went into the release. This is based on feedback received from over 10000 downloads of the Beta 2 version of the product

Key improvements in RC1 include:

  • Improved install process
  • Major usability improvements made to the UI Updated Management Packs
  • New Active Directory MP
  • Ability to Gateway and certificate manage non-trusted devices
  • Support for more deployment topologies including multiple management servers
  • Improved stability

Support for this version of the product is via our Beta newsgroups.

Please note, you must fully uninstall Beta 2 prior to installing RC1. Future releases (RC2 and the final RTM) versions will support an in place upgrade. However upgrades must be made build to build - RC1 to RC2 and RC2 to RTM.
